Wife of Akhenaten, Queen Nefertiti's role in her husband's reign -- and religious revolution -- has had different interpretations at different times and by different scholars. The famous bust of Nefertiti has long been considered a standard of feminine beauty. There are other images of Nefertiti from the 18th Dynasty, usually depicted with her husband, Akhenaten, and sometimes with their daughters.
