About Radegund:
Radegund was a German virgin, a servant of the 13th century who was known for her charitable works.
She was attacked by a pack of wolves and killed by them, while on one of her charitable missions.
Radegund was canonized, and her feast day is August 13.
She is not to be confused with another St. Radegund, a pietistic queen of the Franks of the 6th century, who was married to the Frankish king Clothar (also called Clotaire or Lothar).
Radegund is sometimes spelled Radegunda, Radegunde and several other spellings.
