In 1908, Harper's Magazine published an article on votes for women, as Norway and Finland were added to the nations which had passed equal suffrage laws.

As the legend indicates, nations -- or within the U.S., states -- that are solid black have passed equal suffrage, that is, women had equal voting rights to men. In nations with horizontal lines, suffrage was equal for all elections except for Parliament. In nations and states marked with vertical lines, equal suffrage had been established for municipal (local) elections.
