House Speaker Nancy Pelosi organized the celebration in honor of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, also a past First Lady and United States Senator. Rep. Lynn Woolsey of California, who was a member of Congress thirty years ago at the time of the first Women's History Month celebration, also spoke at the event on March 25, 2010.
