Mary Cassatt - Portrait of the Artist - 1878

From American painter Mary Cassatt, this self-portrait is a watercolor dating from 1878, and is currently owned by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Cassatt is only known to have created two self portraits in her career. An American, Louisine Elder, bought the pointing from Cassatt in 1879.
