Lucy Burns, American suffragist and leader in the Congressional Union for Women Suffrage, is at the far left, next to Emmeline Pankhurst, at the center. The radical wing of the American suffrage movement, which included Alice Paul and Lucy Burns, was influenced by the radical wing of the British suffrage movement, which included the Pankhursts.
