Helen Thomas resigned from her position as columnist with Hearst News Service in 2010, after being quoted saying that Israeli Jews should be told to "get the hell out of Palestine." After her resignation, it became a public issue which news organization should get her prized center-front seat at White House press conferences, with the White House Correspondents Association deciding to give that seat to the Associated Press correspondent, and the AP's former front row seat to the correspondent from Fox News.
