Cotton Mather - Puritan Minister

Cotton Mather's Puritan theology was part of the environment out of which the Salem Witch Trials grew, and his study of the witchcraft trials is an important part of the historical attempt to understand the witch hunts. His writings on the family are helpful to understanding the historical role of mothers and women.
