Molly Yard was a key organizer of the 1970s and 1980s campaign to pass the Equal Rights Amendment to the United States Constitution, and she was president of the National Organization for Women 1987-1992. She was also key in the fights to support Title IX and its provisions to prohibit sex discrimination in education programs funded by the federal government.
