February 13 - Mary Hallaren
Mary Hallaren, known as the first woman to officially join the United States Army, was director of the Women's Army Corps and helped to bring the WAC into the US Army. She began with the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps before it became the WAC, and continued with the Army until her retirement in 1960. She then served in the US Department of Labor.
