Clara Barton Home - National Historic Site

Home of Clara Barton and the American Red Cross

A home given to Clara Barton in the 1890s served first as a storage warehouse for the American Red Cross, then as her home and the headquarters of the organization, with space for storing relief supplies and rooms to serve as a dormitory for Red Cross volunteers.

Clara Barton died in this house on Good Friday, April 12, 1912.
