Claire Viall is a Program Assistant at the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW). At ICRW, she assists with research and advocacy on issues such as child marriage, fertility decline, education, and reproductive health. Prior to joining ICRW, Claire interned in the Congressional Office of Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi. She has worked on a number of campaigns and most recently was the Finance Director on Assemblymember Joan Buchanan’s (AD 15 - CA) re-election campaign in 2010. Claire was very active in campus politics at UC Berkeley and served as the President of the Cal Berkeley Democrats, the largest democratic college club in the state of California, her senior year. It was in this role that she discovered her passion for women’s issues, especially female representation. Claire holds a B.A. in History with a minor in Celtic Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
