    1722 (?): Elizabeth (Eliza) Pinckney born (plantation manager, inventor; sons Charles and Thomas were American Revolutionary soldiers and politicians)

    1725: Henrietta Zinzendorf von Watteville born (teacher, helped establish Moravian Seminary and College for Women in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania)

    1789: Catharine Sedgwick born (writer)

    1816: Elizabeth Ware Packard born (reeformer: married women's rights, rights of the mentally ill)

    1860: Jane Robbins born (social worker, physician)

    1961: Edith Wilson died (First Lady: during Woodrow Wilson's recovery from a stroke, 1919-1921, she worked closely with him and his presidential advisors to see that presidential duties were performed)
