Luc Besson's movie, The Messenger, on the life of Joan of Arc, is due out this month. Starring in this picture are Vincent Cassel, Faye Dunaway, Pascal Greggory, Desmond Harrington, Dustin Hoffman, Milla Jovovich (as Joan), Mathieu Kassovitz, John Malkovich. {Dustin Hoffman as the Grand Inquisitor? Now that is an interesting casting decision!) How is this movie different from previous film versions of the life of Joan of Arc? Will it focus more on her military genius (or good luck), her spiritual inspiration? For more information on the movie, you can visit the official Sony site, a great unofficial site, or keep up with gossip about the stars and other news about the movie. Information on the May 1999 CBS miniseries on Joan of Arc is at the CBS website. The video of this miniseries is available at many local videostores or online videostores.
