Governor Edwin P. Morrow signs Kentucky's ratification of the Anthony Amendment January 6, 1920
(Woman Suffrage Amendment, ultimately the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution)

Kentucky was the 24th state to ratify the Amendment which became law after it was ratified in August, 1920, by neighboring state Tennessee. Morrow was known for his anti-lynching views and actions. The women watching are mostly wearing "Votes for Women" banners.
