Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, was established on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. Zeta Phi Beta became the first among the established sororities to charter chapters in Africa (in 1948) and also the first to organize a centrally located and fully paid International headquarters.
