Linking to this site

Webmaster linking information, plus reprint information

Reciprocal Links
I don't automatically give "reciprocal links" and I don't require them. I list pages on the About Women's History site for one reason only: I believe they are the most useful pages on the Net for the topic.  I do appreciate a link to this site if I've linked to yours, or if you believe that your visitors will find the information here useful.

If you've found this site valuable and would like to link to it from your own site, here are some ways to do that:

Linking to the Home Page
Want to just keep it simple?  To create a link like this -- About Women's History -- just cut-and-paste this HTML code to your page:

Specific Links
You're also welcome to "deep link" to any page on the site with information that will be useful to your visitors.  Go to the page that you want to link to, and copy the address (URL) of the page.  Then with a few words describe the link.  For example, here's an example with the code you'd use:

About Sojourner Truth: biography with links to related resources

Advertising on This Site
If you have a commercial product that you would like me to link to, please understand that except for a few product reviews, I rarely link to specific products.  Only products directly related to and focused on women's history are considered for such reviews.  For other listings of commercial products, see the information on Advertising on About.

Copying a Page
You are welcome to link to any page on this site, but you must have proper permission to copy any of the pages on this site or any other About site.  This applies to copies on the web and to multiple copies for distribution or for classroom use, or for any form of a reprint.  See our User Agreement and Copyright.

For reprint permissions, you must contact me with your real name and email address, the purpose for which you want to make them (online use, brochure, newsletter, etc.), and the number of copies you wish to make (for print copies) or the domain name for the site where you want to reprint articles online.  Include your mailing address and a fax number.  You must include the URL and title of each page you want to reprint.  We will try to respond to all reasonable requests within two weeks.  The user agreement and copyright conditions have no exceptions, even for schools and not-for-profit organizations, small and large email lists and online forums, and noncommercial and personal web sites.
