July 19-20 is the anniversary of the first Women's Rights Convention, held in Seneca Falls, New York, an event which marks the beginning of the active women's rights movement in America. It's usually connected with woman suffrage, but women's ability to vote was just one part of the agenda that day -- and the most contentious.

Will this be a convention for all women or just liberal women? The women’s movement seems very one-sided to me.
Unless you’ve got a time machine, Jules, you won’t be able to attend. If you read the post, it was in 1848. And yes, many conservative women have been positive about women having rights like the right to their own paychecks and the right to vote. Did you know that Jeannette Rankin was a Republican? That the Republican platform used to be for ratification of the ERA?
