Margaret Thatcher died on Monday, after suffering another stroke. She had suffered a series of strokes in 2002, giving up much of her traveling after that. Her daughter, Carol Thatcher, wrote a memoir in 2008 that documented her mother's increasing dementia, which added to her inability to participate in public events, even ones honoring her service.
