That’s an amazing story, and one that I had somehow missed hearing.
I own a great book about female lighthouse keepers. They survived some amazing storms, rescued sailors and lived in remote places under harsh conditions.
She is a great role model. It’s a shame people don’t know more about her.
Pretty amazing that anyone could consider keeping a family together or saving a life unfeminine.
