I think we need to resuscitate and expand our labor unions. We need to expand them to white-collar jobs so that companies will stop requiring their employees to work practically around the clock. What good is it to have a fancy sheepskin if your life is not your own? Maybe when I get a little older, I’ll become a Mother Jones. But I don’t think I’ll emulate her fashion sense.
