Wonderful portrait of her, really shows her lady-like demeanor with some spunk.
I like that she’s portrayed with a book — highlighting her focus on reading skills and literature.
I also love this portrait, she looks so serene.
That’s the advantage of a painting over a photograph, they managed to make her eyes look normal, and make her seem nicer than she is.
I have a friend who works on the White House military social detail, and she tells me that Mrs. Bush is very well-liked by White House staffers. I’m glad her portrait is nice, too.
What a lovely portrait! It is timely to include this image since a new president is getting inaugurated in just a bit. Thanks!
