That’s the advantage of a painting over a photograph, they managed to make her eyes look normal, and make her seem nicer than she is.

I have a friend who works on the White House military social detail, and she tells me that Mrs. Bush is very well-liked by White House staffers. I’m glad her portrait is nice, too.
