Hathor was a major deity for much of ancient Egyptian history. She was connected with love and happiness, and was considered the wife of the sun god Re.

She is also connected with the cow, which is why they were revered in Ancient Egypt. She is often shown with some bovine representations, sometimes the ears, which may be the case in this picture.
