The vision that is the Statue of Liberty never ceases to stir emotion in me. As a first-generation American, some of my people arrived at her feet from the Old World. She is a constant reminder of the sacrifices people made to become Americans and have a better life. They came here for a better life and we better make sure that the better life stays here!
