Queen Christina of Sweden

Made famous in the 20th century by the movie starring Greta Garbo, Queen Christina of Sweden had a life that was even more interesting and exciting than the film portrayed. As sole heir to her father's throne, she was raised as a boy -- that, and likely affairs with a lady-in-waiting and a cardinal at Rome have led to speculation about her sexuality, which historians still have not completely resolved.
