Seneca Falls Women's Rights Convention - 1848

July 19-20 is the anniversary of the first Women's Rights Convention, held in Seneca Falls, New York -- an event which is the beginning of the active women's rights movement in America. It's usually connected with woman suffrage, but the vote was just one part of the agenda that day.
