Selma Lagerlöf (1858-1940)
Monday July 18, 2005
Selma Lagerlöf was a Swedish writer whose inventive stories won her the Nobel Prize for Literature -- the first time it was awarded to a woman. I admit to having a personal interest in her story, since she's a distant relative (fourth cousin of my great-great-grandmother or something like that). I've added a summary profile, a more detailed biography, and a few quotes from this literary lady.
