Women in World War I

Wednesday January 12, 2005
Of interest to many readers of this site are the roles that women have played during wartime in history. In a resource newly available on the Net, Kay Larson has posted a copy of the 1916 book "Women's War Work" by Jennie Churchill (Lady Randolph Churchill). Churchill details the way that women -- from queens to feminists to nurses to mothers -- played in various countries, including Great Britain, France, Russia, America, Germany, and Austria.
