In the Washington Post, an article about an archaeologist who's looked for any sign that the Queen of Sheba was a real person -- and has been able to find no evidence other than mentions in legends. The Hebrew Bible has her visiting King Solomon; Muslim stories have her converting to Islam. But, says the archaeologist, her existence, like that of King Arthur or Gilgamesh, can't be proved.
